'Kourtney and Kim Take New York': The Kardashian boycott didn't work

http://nowdailynews.blogspot.com - Good news, Kardashian fans! Bad news... everyone else.

The season premiere of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," the show which features Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Scott Disick, and yes -- Kris Humphries, navigating NYC in their various stages of coupledom, was apparently not affected by the proposed Kardashian boycott.

Sunday's episode scored a high 3.2 million viewers, besting January's series premiere of 3 million viewers. Of those viewers, 2.3 million were in the target 18-49 demographic, giving this season an 8% boost over last season.

If Kim did as she's been accused and got married and subsequently divorced for the sake of ratings and publicity... America bought it hook, line, and sinker. We suppose those 100,000 people who signed a petition asking E! to cancel the show weren't fans to begin with. Who'd have thought?

The full season was shot between Kim's marriage to Kris and her Oct. 31 divorce filing, and even the first episode revealed just how incompatible these two were. She likes things neat, he likes things messy. She likes red carpets, he likes hiding from the press. She likes doing yoga with naked men, he... does not.
