'Chalo Dilli' - Lara Dutta's first movie from her own production house Bheegi Basanti, in collaboration with hubby Mahesh Bhupathi's Big Daddy Films - is in trouble. The entire unit of the film is being sued and here's why.
Reportedly, lyricist Farhaaz Ahmed alleges that the song 'Matargastiyan' from 'Chalo Dilli' has been lifted from an original song written by him. And he's sent a legal notice to Lara, Anand Raj Anand and Eros International.
Frahaaz alleges that he met with Anand Raj Anand last year with the song, which he says was registered in his name with a writer's association too. He also apparently sent Anand Raj Anand a letter. He decided to send a legal notice when there was no reply to the letter.
Meanwhile, Anand Raj Anand is reportedly saying that he wrote the song himself, and that while he might have met Farhaaz, it is probably just a similar line that the song has. He has also apparently said that he has paid Farhaaz Rs10,000.
