For those of us who might not be as inclined to watch four hours of body crushing beatdowns, there is one thing to look forward to this year – Madonna.
No, the material girl won’t be putting on a pair of tights and padding to knock it around with the guys…but she’ll likely be donning a little less when she rocks in this year at the halftime show. With Madonna as the 2012 Super Bowl performer, will you give it more than “4 Minutes” of your attention?
The Super Bowl XLVI will launch at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5, 2012 to thousands of screaming fans, most of whom will be watching in the comfort of their own home (and might miss all the real-time action from Madonna’s performance)
Madonna doesn’t do anything ordinary – so if you’re expecting a simple, boob-free performance from the first Lady Gaga, you’ve got another thing coming for you. Madonna will be joined by Cirque du Soleil performers, Jamie King and others on stage, just in time to announce her first new single (she hasn’t released anything since 2008’s “Hard Candy”).
While we’re aware that the Super Bowl will take all precautionary measures to avoid another Janet Jackson dilemma, we can’t help but wonder whether Madonna will have any surprises up her sleeve. The notorious party girl has kissed girls, dated men a quarter of her age and slipped into nothing but stockings all while in the spotlight, and in an arena like the Super Bowl, her bad girl streak might make an apperance.
